Wahoooo! FINALLY!! After years, I finally cracked the two hour mark!! My PR before today was 2:03….. So, YAY!! The day was perfect. No rain. No wind. This is my favorite race of the year. It’s so well organized, and the shwag is fantastic!
Now, for a much needed stretch & some ibuprofen. I will sleep like a baby tonight!

Today was an eeeeeeeeeeeeasy slow run to continue tapering for Vancouver. Yeah! It is rare that I like running on the dreadmill (except when doing sprint work), but today it felt good ~ and went by fast. I met a woman who did all her training for a full marathon on a dreadmill. Ugh! She lived in Alaska and said there wasn’t much choice. Yeesh. That’s dedication! I’d rather poke my eye out with a hot stick.

Lungs are still slightly gurgly after a nasty bout of sinus-bronchitis. Any hot tips on how to decongest the last little bit in my lungs? I’ve tried pseudafed, comtrex, cough syrup, Nyquil….and I’ve been LOADING the Airborne like it’s going out of style…..

We just did our last long run before Vancouver. I’ve been flying a lot lately & have built up a nasty congestion issue in my lungs. I’ve tried antihistamines, cough suppressants…airborne… but nothing is totally getting them clear. Any suggestions???
