It was DARK when I woke up! :o(
ARRGHHHHHH!
Every year I know this day will come….. sooner or later I know I will wake up at my normal time (5am) and it will be dark……. it is a sad day as I know this is the start of ‘fall’ and then…’winter’ will come. I am so solar powered.
:o(
Where can I live where it’s LIGHT out every morning at 5am? I don’t care if it gets dark early in the evening…….I just want to wake up to sun!!
Help!!

I absolutely understand! I’m originally from Texas but am living in Alaska. The summers here are amazing with all the sunlight… but winter is so long! I try to find quiet in the darkness, but mostly I just miss the sun!

I run at 5am and actually like that it is still dark. By the end of my run, the sun is starting to come up. It is very quiet and peaceful while it is dark and it is nice to watch it starting to get light. The worst part of it being dark for me is that it is really difficult to get out of bed, but once I’m there, it is all good. I only give you this perspective so that you can have some positives — because we sure cant change the time of sunrise!! Hope this helps the ARGHHHHH factor a bit!!

I felt the EXACT same way this morning.
Just last week it was light at 5:30… and now it was dark until almost 6 or later.

I have been looking forward to the days getting shorter. that just means that it is going to cool off soon. living in Phoenix I get up at 3:30 am to go for my bike ride and it is usually around ninety degrees and dark. the shorter the days the cooler it gets. can’t wait for December.

Ya, I always hate when the days get shorter, especially on my work days because I go in at 5:30a and get off at 6:30p so it feels like the sun is never up. The sun definitely serves to make you happier.
I like the idea that trose gave of running as the sun comes up, that must be great every morning! I have a hard enough time as it is to get my butt out of bed so I will just dream about it on my days off :).
