Intravenous Tim Hortons!
Ahhh, to be home in the land of the Canuck! Tim Horton’s coffee is the best. I’ve barely been above the 49th parallel for 24 hours and I’ve already downed 4 cups of ‘to-go-large-coffee-double-cream’. Just stick an intravenous tube in me and I’ll mainline it.
Goooood stuff!

I vacationed in the land of the Canuck last month in a teeny tiny town in Ontario. One of the first things I noticed north of the border was Tim Hortons. They were EVERYWHERE. I never did actually go to one, but I’m curious. Is it a sit down restaurant, a fast food place like McDonalds or what? I just gotta know.

Oooo……Tim’s started as a coffee & donut shop. The ‘timbits’ (donut holes) are good but it’s the coffee that has made them famous. Hot, simple, drip coffee. No fancy stuff here. In the last 15 years, they have expanded their menu to include yummy soups and sandwiches. To keep up with ‘the times’, they have recently added frozen coffees (think ‘dessert’!). They have modest tables where you can sit and enjoy your lunch or your coffee - or, you could make your way through the drive-thru. In some cities, the morning drive-thru wait can be up to 30 minutes.
Tim’s is an icon in Canada. (It was a sad, sad day for Canadians everywhere when Wendy’s International bought them out.) You can find Tim’s in the mid-west, usually hooked to a Wendy’s Burger Place. The marriage of these two has never made sense to me……
