Wake up Seattle-ites!

Yowza!  Did you SEE that sunrise this morning?  Simply breath-taking!

Here’s my workout……hard to categorize:

Power spin - Intervals x 30mins
Dreadmill - Interval sprints x 15mins (up to 10mph and 7.5% grade)
Weights - back/shoulders/arms
Plyos - Burpees & box-jumps on the BOSU
Core

I suppose it’s all ’strength training’????

Sure wish I could post all parts of my workout on one entry….

Hey TeamSweat… Checking in on the ability to log multiple activities for one workout?   There are so many more uses for this feature than just bricks.  To align with fitness expert recommendations to do cardio and strength - and finish with stretching,  it makes sense to green light this feature here.    I’ve simply given up tracking the time I spend stretching because that would make it three separate posts.. (one for the cardio, another for strength, and a third for flexibility….)

While I’m happy the Sweat365 team is working hard, this is still my User-Wish #1.

Thank you!!

Frothed milk: Home style!

After doing some ‘new math’, I realize that I am spending wayyyyyyy too much moolah on coffee in the mornings.  So, these last few days I have been using the Bodum press to froth my own milk.   It works like a charm!!     I am using Kona beans or Ladro beans so the coffee quality is still up there…….but I am pleasantly surprised by how YUMMY the home froth is!!!     Creamy, light and delicious!

I think I’ll head to Target today to find a real frothing press (that goes to the bottom of the beaker)……… For those of you in my ‘hood, feel free to drive on by for a cuppa yourself!  :-)

Where’s Waldo??

That’s a first……. ran with some friends to show them a new route.. (friends who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent) ;-) One friend got so into the groove that she kept going when she was supposed to turn. We all finished..but she was no where to be found. Had to send out the search party. Where’s Waldo? See. Hills DO make you stronger. You just keep going, and going, and going……….

Happy endings for all…….we found her, picked her up and - then one of us treated her to a coffee. Yay!

Only 198 more sleeps……….

As much as I’d rather poke my eye out with a hot stick than swim laps, the time sure does go by fast when we work on technique..and actually have a ‘workout’ planned on paper.

Only about 198 more sleeps until we can get back in the open water……….
